Real estate chose me.
I had never owned a home, attended an open house or knew what the market was doing. I was thrown into sales when I said yes to a job offer in 2001 and hoped I would like it. In my first year I won International Best New Talent for the LJ Hooker franchise and a trip to San Francisco to attend training on a global level. I was considered a unicorn by my peers, they said I had an X factor that no one could duplicate.
A change of franchise and business strategy and next I am a key note speaker at an Australian real estate conference for a franchise that I had been crowned their number 1 sales person. They wanted to understand how I became so successful. It’s a bit embarrassing to think I had no formula but that I am a hugger, I like humans and I love being part of solving people’s real estate issues.

Local girl Megan Burrows comes home to join the team at My Agent Christine Ewin.
Starting at a Batemans Bay real estate agency straight after school laid the foundations for her future.
Starting as the director of first impressions she learnt the craft of customer service and being part of a team.
The city lights and ability to advance her knowledge in the field of property management took her to Canberra. Megan was a huge asset to Ray White Canberra as a property manager describing her as systemised and dedicated.
Whilst working in their high tech corporation Megan went on to manage a portfolio of over 130 properties.
She loved the fast pace and energy of the real estate industry.
Part of a huge team she learnt the processes, the commitment required to be an effective highly respected property manager. After years away from home, it was time to be closer to family and we are so fortunate to have her join us as our senior property manager.

We then became neighbours in town when we opened the business.
Sarah had a banking background and would wander into say hello with a coffee every now and then.

If I wrote a job description for a personal assistant it would be attention to detail, highly effective communication skills, and ability to juggle many tasks and organisational skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, a talent in time management and nurse maid to the often emotionally depleted sales agent from the highs and lows of this business.
If that was on one page with tick boxes I would have ticked every box.
This girl is special, moving from Griffith where she worked in the local camera house some 12 months ago.
Her specialty was photo shopping, graphic design work and customer service.
This has taken our branding and designs to the next level and we are very lucky to have her.
